Question: What is the deal about purchasing a foreclosed house?

I am planning to purchase a house in Wichita falls Texas, in 2007. I get these emails to purchase a list about repos, and foreclosed homes all of the time. Are the list worth it, or are they a ripoff? Are the homes cheaper? Do I need a real estate agent or lawyer to work the transaction? If it is in a location I like, is it better than purchasing a home on the market? Finally, what are the pros and cons in a nut shell about purchasing a repo or a foreclosed home? It has been almost 9 years since I purchased a home, and that one went into foreclosure after the ex lived in it, post divorce!

Answer: We bought a foreclosed home last year. Our Realtor showed it to us, just like any other house. It had been vacant for 2 years, and had not been well maintained prior to that. There was some extra paperwork to sign, mostly releasing the bank from any responsibility for things that did not work. Nothing worked. We have been here for almost 6 months, and are still renovating. We knew what we were getting in to when we made the offer. Even with all of the work we have done we have still spent less than half of the market value of other homes in the area. My advice to you would be to work with a Realtor.

Question: Where can I dump some garbage near New Castle, PA?

Hi, I have no idea if anyone can help me out, but I live and work near New Castle, PA, and I need a place to dump some light garbage. I work for banks and mortgage companies, taking care of the yards of their foreclosed homes. One of my main jobs is cleaning up any debris left in the yard by the previous owners/tenants. Being that my work only involves the lawn and not the interior of the home, I can never justify the costs associated with renting a dumpster, but I often have too much to set on the curb and find myself looking for a place to dump random garbage (tires, carpet, branches, etc...nothing too harmful for the environment). Does anyone know of a place where I can legally get rid of this stuff? I'm willing to pay a little bit too, so if anyone knows of anyone with a lot of land that might be willing to let me dump some stuff, let me know! Thanks!

Answer: Contact a private garbage hauling company. Businesses for the most part have to use private sanitation companies to haul away garbage. If the homes are anywhere near a business in your area drive behind and look on their dumpsters. The company that hauls their stuff will have a name and number on the dumpster. Call them and see if they will haul for you

Mortgage Foreclosure Alberta

Mortgage Foreclosure Alberta

Foreclosure occurs when the homeowner falls behind in monthly mortgage payments and defaults on the loan. The lender repossesses or sells the home in order to satisfy the debt.

The best and most sensible way to avoid falling into default and having the lender foreclose on you is to make timely mortgage payments. Several steps can be taken to ensure your capability to pay your mortgage on time each month.
