Foreclosed Illinois Homes

Question: How come foreclosed homes at auction are not open for inspections?

How come foreclosed being soled at auctions are (at least in Illinois) not open for inspection? Please let me know thank you.

Answer: The owner (the bank) has no direct knowledge of the condition of the home. Therefore, they cannot give any direct or even implied warranty of the home. The sale is 'as is'. The home is usually available for inspection the morning of the auction.
