Foreclosed Real Estate Michigan

Question: How do I start buying and renting out real estate in Michigan?

Im a NY based investor and have been really interested in buying property (foreclosed, bank owned) and fixing it up and renting it out in Michigan. Would it be easier to get my license in MI and doing it all myself? Whats the best way to start?

Answer: If you are an investor it would seem as though you would already know the answer to this one. My thought would be that you GO to Mi and either find those properties that interest you, or you find an agent that you feel comfortable with, let them do some legwork for you. Then when you think you have found your investment, GO to the property yourself. Check it out in person and then make your decision if to go forward or not. It may take you a year or so to find the correct property that fits all your needs. Be patient, it will come.
