Question: Can I find listings of REO or foreclosed properties in Maryland?

>

Answer: BOA has a website of their REO's. I haven't found many good properties this way though. As soon as a property becomes an REO, a bank will usually list with a broker. The holding costs and legal fees tacked on to what the bank is owed in mortgage and causes it not to be an attractive investment many times. You can negotiate with a bank, but they are generally very slow to make decisions. Hope this helps some.

Question: I have a friend in Pinellas County Florida whose home is in foreclosure and he has no job.?

He is able to collect food stamps but no other assistance for utilities. He says he's been looking for a job but has had no luck. Any suggestions out there from anyone? Greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Answer: I know where your friend is, I was there not too long ago. Get him the book "There's no Place Like Your Home". It gives great step by step instructions on what your friend can do to keep his home for a lot longer than you would think while he is working to get himself back on track. MJe and a few friends put the book to work and were able to stay in our homes for over a year while we got back on our feet. Now we are all back on track, and yeah, our credit is kinda screwed, but at least we have our homes.

Good luck, and hope this helps.

Question: I am getting a divorce and want to know how I can put my name on the deed and mortgage?

I have a feeling my husband is setting up to buy a piece of property in Pennsylvania and wants to let our home in New Jersey go into foreclosure. What are my options?

>

Answer: He needs to put you in title to the house.

Only the mortgage company can decide what to do about the mortgage.

He'll have to approve both actions unless they are part of the divorce action and property settlement.
