Question: How would you respond if your supervising attorney asked you to prepare a bankruptcy petition...?

that you knew was unwarranted and designed solely to stop foreclosure proceedings against your client?

Answer: I would prepare the bankruptcy petition. It is the attorney's job to make sure the petition is proper. By the way, what makes you think it is unwarranted? The mere fact that the petition is designed to stop foreclosure proceedings does not necessarily make it unwarranted.
