Question: Non Payment on condo fees - forcing foreclosure on the unit -- will the association get paid ?
I live in NJ and am part of a condo association in jersey city. we have a unit owner that hasn't paid condo fees in several years. the tally is up to about $16k. we have had a lien on his unit for some time and are now going to foreclose on the unit. are we entitled to the back fees even though the bank would be the first lien holder?

Answer: You will stand in line after the bank. First lien holders get first crack at the receipts from the foreclosure sale and then secondary lien holders such as HOAs. Hoepfully there will be something left over for you.

When mortgage payments skyrocket it catches many families surprised an unable to afford their housing expense. It is essential that you read the fine print on any adjustable rate mortgage to make sure that interest rate is really as low as you think it is.
It is a great time to take advantage of low home mortgage interest rates. The lower the interest rate equates to a lower payment for you. Just ensure you do your research and don't get tricked into getting a mortgage with a high interest rate disguised as a low one.
